Update on Los Alamos, NM, and Dust Bowl cities

We will be unable to visit Los Alamos today.  It would take us an hour to get to Los Alamos, we will lose an hour when we cross into Oklahoma, and we would need at least an hour to see the sights.  We just don't have the time to squeeze in a visit. I am disappointed but, for the sake of the sanity of Clare and Conor, who have been enduring long periods in the car, I have scratched Los Alamos off of our attractions list.  I was looking forward to the visit and the historical significance of the area and the history lesson for the kids, but this is for the best.  This way we can concentrate on the Dust Bowl part of our history trip and take our time getting off this morning. The prime attraction today will be No Man's Land Museum in Goodwell, Oklahoma.
